Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Senior Director IT Process Excellence who is focused on driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the IT organization. This role will ensure that IT strategies align with overall goals of the business through enablement of enterprise architecture best practices. The leader will ensure that the IT investment portfolio is structured and organized to deliver clear business outcomes. Additionally, this role will work closely with IT leaders to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the entire technology service delivery lifecycle. Job Duties
Leads the evaluation, redesign, and implementation of business process across IT to drive efficiency, optimize costs, and improve service delivery. Establishes and maintains value-driven, strategic relationships with the IT leadership team to ensure strong alignment to the overall goals of the CIO. Develops and establishes key performance indicators for IT in alignment and support of the critical business objectives of the company. Ensures that the IT operates in alignment to IT Service Management best practices including platform design and delivery. Helps drive a high level of compliance within IT, in support of IT general controls and SOX. Establishes enterprise architecture best practices in support of building reference architectures that enable digital platforms and technologies in an efficient and secure manner. Responsible for evangelizing best practices for technology, processes, security and compliance. Functions as the trusted advisor to IT and the business to align technology solutions with business strategies and contributes to the business unit strategy development. Leads and maximizes IT demand management by developing the on-going project portfolio on behalf of the business and provide prioritization guidelines to lead a focused agenda delivering the highest business value technology projects. Leads IT portfolio and project management while driving strong accountability to execution of IT projects and initiatives across the organization. Leads change management to ensure effective adoption of new processes and technologies within IT and across the business. Demonstrates the ability to develop high-performing leaders and teams through leadership, collaboration, and coaching. Partners closely with HR team members to help establish IT strategic workforce planning in alignment with the objectives of the business. Experience
A minimum of 15 years of information technology background combined with broad business experience and a proven track record in a leadership position. A minimum of 10 years of experience of progressive information technology experience, including 7 years of management experience. Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. Preferred Education Level: An MBA is preferred. Required Skills
Successful candidate must develop a depth of understanding of Oil & Gas technology capabilities, and the ability to assess maturity of process and technology within company. Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with senior level management. Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives. Ability to understand the underlying business model and question / challenge others to think through the problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans. Demonstrated success leading IT programs with matrixed program teams. Successful track record of delivering programs on scope, on time, on budget, on quality and on benefit. Capable of gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale. Proven ability to influence course of action when others are directly accountable for outcome. Strong business acumen and aptitude to understand the key drivers for investment and ability to build a compelling business case. Well-honed communication and relationship management skills to translate complex ideas clearly and concisely to executives. Working knowledge of the industry, major business processes and key performance indicators Demonstrated breadth and in-depth knowledge of assigned business areas. Solid understanding of current and planned architecture, platforms and solutions that support the business. Broad understanding of the current and emerging technology trends and developments. Preferred Skills: In depth experience implementing complex technology solutions including deep expertise in SAP, data & analytics, robotic process automation and customer/vendor collaboration. Experience in architecting strategic systems roadmaps. Experience with IT application services delivery leveraging a service provider and internal teams. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations, creative problem solving, and developing business cases. Experience leading a distributed workforce including multiple locations, countries and/or cultures. Experience managing budgets (project, program and department). Comfortable establishing senior-level working relationships and communications. Ability to present publicly as a thought leader. Ability to translate complex technical topics into easy to understand concepts. Experience and knowledge developing strategic planning, leadership, and organization delivery for master data management. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the management of direct and indirect reports. Work Conditions
Office based with travel up to 40% by land and air required. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions. Physical Requirements
