We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Consulting Armenian Speaking Medical Receptionist. This unique role combines the responsibilities of a medical receptionist with the linguistic skills of an Armenian speaker, providing a bridge of communication between our Armenian-speaking patients and our dedicated healthcare team. This position is key to ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from check-in to check-out. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical front desk operations and a deep commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Armenian-speaking patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of customer service.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information, collecting copayments, and scheduling future appointments.
- Use your Armenian language skills to translate medical information and instructions, ensuring patients understand their healthcare plans and any necessary follow-up steps.
- Maintain patient records with utmost confidentiality, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with medical professionals to schedule appointments, communicate patient concerns, and relay critical information.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as managing phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Use medical software systems to track patient appointments, billing, and medical records.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical front desk or similar role.
- Proficiency in Armenian and English, both verbal and written, is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare systems, and patient care processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in using medical software systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- A strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in Medical Administration is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs and concerns.
