The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Software Integration & Support Engineer to support our government customer located in Albuquerque, New Mexico . The Software Integration and Support Engineer will assist the larger team in completion and delivery of advanced software tools and capabilities related to the DTRIAC Collection and user capabilities. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Programming, data management, general coding to create new tools Integrate new tools and existing tools into larger systems of operation Trouble shoot and test tools for operations Provide support for software operations including updates Assist in technical projects with various departments, including the Advanced Search and Discovery (ASD) team and the Information Systems (IS) teams of similar activities up to 30% of their time. Core responsibilities will require excellence in common computer languages including Python, Java, and Powershell, while collaborating with other SMEs to mature tools, analyze data, and refine codes with input from internal and external users. Work with other contracting teams to move and transfer data as needed on DoD IT systems in an efficient manner. Additional duties may be added as the position evolves. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: BS in Computer Science or equivalent CompTIA Security or ability to obtain within six (6) weeks of start. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: At least three (3) years of related experience Capable of working in a dynamic and quick turn environment with many deliverables and other technical staff Python experience (general scripting, debugging, unit testing) Command line and shell scripting experience (bash, PowerShell) JavaScript experience (any web development background a plus) Experience with SQL, Elasticsearch or other database technologies Designing and developing new software after analyzing system or organizational requirements including user interfaces and search tools Large data management and processing experience including databases Good Collaboration with other team members Staying updated with emerging technologies and techniques Meeting user needs with updates in existing software Testing and debugging software applications Providing technical support and maintenance. Evaluating and testing new software programs. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: MS in Computer Science or similar with at least three (3) years of experience Some understanding of advanced tools related to modeling and simulation of nuclear effects, or willingness to learn. Some understanding of High Performance Computer systems (HPC). Some understanding of advanced AI and Machine Learning techniques. Some understanding of image and data processing, or willingness to learn. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an active Secret clearance.
