Desktop Support Technician

Title: Desktop SupportLocation: Casper, WyomingCompensation: $30-$40 hourly DOEShift: 6:30 AM- 3:00 PMWe have a great client in the oil and gas industry that is looking to add a Desktop Support Technician to their team in Casper, Wyoming. At the main office you will be assisting 200 users with a wide range of technical support needs. There are also 4 remote locations (Wright, Wilkinson, Gillette and Vernal) that will require some travel to provide support as needed.Description:Identify, log, and resolve technical problems with software applications and computer hardware.To set up and manage user accounts and permissions to consent access to a networkUpholding and testing security, blocking unapproved access to the network, company assets, and facilitiesUpdate and maintain computer inventory and equipmentMaintain and resolve issues on LAN, VoIP telephone, AV systems connectionsCoordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and softwareEndorse and apply upgrades to systems to ensure durabilityAssess functional needs to regulate system purchase specificationsResolve hardware and network connectivity issuesValidate & approve VPN access for all remote usersAssist in technical upgrading and maintenance of entire desktop systemsSupport in testing and deployment of new applications and systemsTrain and guide staff in acceptable hardware and software usageTravel as needed to meet remote locations technical needs.
