13 Weeks, Every other Weekend/Holiday.Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distressAre RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedationAre RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs required to read and interpretHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3 shiftsSchedule Information
Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630Weekend Requirements: Every otherHoliday Requirements: Rotating based on weekend groupFloating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurgUnit Specific Information
Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630Additional Details
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for PedsRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to ventRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
