Job Summary:
The Senior Manufacturing Financial Analyst will direct and develop the plant finance staff, ensuring timely completion of financial activities, including period reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and asset management.
This role involves preparing annual budgets, business forecasts, and analyzing capital investments.
The Senior Manufacturing Financial Analyst will also drive process improvements, maintain internal control systems, and ensure compliance with local regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley, and US GAAP.
The role requires strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost issues and support various division-wide financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Direct and develop the plant finance staff and coach talent to support talent management initiativesClose financial books monthly, analyze actual results, and publish plant period reportsEnsure timely and accurate accounting activities, including inventory valuation, product costing, and fixed asset managementPrepare annual budgets, business forecasts, and analyze capital investments using ROI, IRR, and Payback metricsIdentify cost problems, conduct root cause analysis, and drive problem resolutionMaintain internal control systems and ensure compliance with local regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP, and Corporate Accounting PoliciesDrive process improvements, document SOPs, and reduce complexity in finance functionsConsolidate monthly forecasts and results, providing insight and analyticsSupport division cash-based costing, ad hoc projects, and AR review as neededComplete weekly and monthly consolidated reporting requirementsProvide journal and reconciliation support across the divisionAssist in researching transactional and system issues to find systematic solutions
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical fieldMinimum of 5 years of manufacturing or relevant financial experienceProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, general ledger systems, and forecasting tools
Preferred Qualifications:MBA or CPA certificationController experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of PeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix, and Performance Excellence methods (Six Sigma, Lean processes)
