Job Title: Phlebotomy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician with proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology. Candidates with two years of acute care hospital laboratory experience are preferred. The role involves assisting in performing laboratory assays, operating computer input terminals, and executing phlebotomy techniques including special procedures such as blood cultures, finger and heel sticks. Strong communication skills in English, as well as typing and word processing abilities, are essential. Excellent customer service skills are required. The Phlebotomy Technician will work under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, Assistant Director, or Supervising Clinical Laboratory Scientists. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures on adults and pediatrics, micro collections on infants, data entry, specimen processing, and communicating with clients to resolve specimen concerns. The role involves working under supervision, performing venipunctures on adults and pediatrics, micro collections on infants, data entry, and specimen processing. The job requires working on the floor doing draws and in the lab processing specimens. The work environment is close-knit.
