Software QA Test Analyst

Responsibilities:
The Software Test Analyst I is responsible for performing software testing for Culligan IoT projects which encompasses embedded firmware, mobile software, cloud databases and Web dashboards. This role works closely with Product Management, Electrical Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of the product has been met.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a test analyst role with a strong emphasis on creating and executing test scripts, documenting results, reporting deficiencies, and tracking defects to closure.
Specific Job Function: Review requirements documentation, stories and technical documents to assess required test coverage. Periodically collaborate with teams (internal & external) to review test scripts to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements have been met. Develop and maintain test scripts in both the software test library and project in test. Document test results and defects Assist engineers and developers in debugging and retesting reported defects. Support post-launch and product maintenance testing activities as needed Proactively learn other Culligan products creating test scripts in the test library. Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering Be well versed in Software validation testing methodologies:
Test Planning White Box and Black Box Testing Smoke Testing System and Integration Testing Regression Testing Functional Testing User Acceptance Testing
3-5 years' experience creating/maintaining test plans, scripts, executing scripts for firmware, mobile applications and web based applications and reporting defects. Familiarity with various software development life cycle methodologies including Agile/Scrum is a plus. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities. Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus. Keep informed of industry and technology developments related to software test & validation Communicate ideas in both technical as well as business and user friendly language. In office at least 3 days/week for team collaboration
