Overview:As a Quality Inspector/Professional, you will support onsite at supplier facility who specializes in the machining, fabrication, and forming of parts and components used in the aerospace/aviation industry. Utilize various inspection equipment to validate conformance of product thru the manufacturing process. Parts and components inspected include:Turbine and jet engine componentsComplex diameter hot-section assembliesHigh temperature materialsPrecision componentsDuration: 4 - 6 months with potential extensionSchedule: Monday - Friday (5 days)Hours Day: 8/hrs per day (facility hours 5:00 AM - 6:00PM), potential of additional hours becoming available.Job Duties:Perform First Piece, In-Process and Final Inspection activitiesExperience in machined product such as 5-axis machined parts, lathe, hydroforming, tig welding and non conventional fabrication.Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and service providers to ensure these items conform to customer purchase order requirements and specifications.Perform variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques.Assist machinists in quality-related activities.Assist with First Article Process Qualifications:5+ years of practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on various commodities, including Machined parts, Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.Understanding of Aerospace/Aviation quality standards, including AS9100, AS9102, and ANSI Y14.5 - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders.Experience using various mechanical inspection tools - calipers, micrometers, etc.Experience performing First Article Inspections DSQR certified with Pratt & Whitney (desired)AS9102 Assessment (desired)Work in fast paced manufacturing environmentMeet ITAR requirementsAbout ASR InternationalASR provides world-wide Management and Technical Support Services to Government agencies and Fortune 500 customers.
