**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** PCU Float**Job Duration:** 15 weeks**Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hours available**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required; 3 years minimum for first-time travelers**License:** Must have a valid permanent California license**Certifications:** Required - ACLS, BLS; Preferred - NIH**Must-Have:** Strong PCU experience
**Job Description:**
- Handle fresh post-op kidney transplants and complex cases.- Required to float across units, including PCU/Tele/MS Tele.- Must possess skills in IV starts and telemetry; PA lines preferred.- Expected to manage TR bands, chest tubes, and administer medications such as Milrinone, Dopamine, and Dobutamine.- Experience with pulmonary hypertension therapy essential.- Ability to work with patients having moderate to high risk for dysrhythmias.- Competency in using invasive hemodynamic devices.- Conduct ongoing interventions and assessments every 2 hours, up to 8 times per shift.- Familiarity with special equipment like Swan Ganz catheters.- All candidates must have current COVID-19 and flu vaccinations with no exemptions.- Epic charting experience is highly preferred.- Candidates must be flexible to float within the hospital as needed.- No time off requests allowed within the first two weeks of start, with limited requests thereafter.- Previous permanent employees must have a 24-month gap before eligibility for travel positions.
