Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSummary/objective: Finishing Operators play a crucial role in the assembly and testing stages of our world class, lay-flat hose production. This position requires a keen eye, constant observation of testing processes and the ability to follow stringent quality standards. As a Finishing Operator you will learn how to properly assemble municipal and military hoses that are used worldwide to save lives.RequirementsEssential functions:Understand the flow of work between the coaters, insert table, steam table, coupling assembly and test table.Attach hoses to equipment using pressure clamps and accurately adjust steam/air controls once secure.Properly identify the material and layers of different hose throughout the processes.Know how to safely handle and lift materials, jackets and final products between each station of the Finishing Department. Apply stenciling by following customer and company specifications. Keep all areas, machines and floors clear of water or debris.Identify any defects, imperfections or repairs that need further attention. Required Skills and Abilities:Basic knowledge of measurements.Ability to follow work instructions for the different stages within production.Work well in a team environment.Knowledge of safety standards. Able to effectively communicate with supervisors and team.Strength Requirements:MediumUp to 50lbs of force exerted occasionally, and up to 20lbs frequently, up to 10lbs constantly.Work Environment:Employee may be exposed to wet and humid conditions and Dust/Fumes/Gas and Chemicals. Employee may need to work around extreme heat and moving machinery.Education/Training Requirement:High School Diploma, or GED required.
