*Job Summary*We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and assist healthcare providers in a clinical setting.*Role and Responsibilities*MA duties may include:· Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, assisting and directing them appropriately.· Performs clinical duties in a medical setting, such as scheduling appointments, taking patient histories, and recording vital signs.· Assist healthcare providers during medical exams, including preparing exam rooms, sterilizing medical instruments, and explaining procedures to patients.· Conducts basic laboratory tests and performs phlebotomy procedures, including collecting and preparing specimens for testing. Must contain a certification for Phlebotomy.· Under the supervision of a CMA, RMA or Provider performs basic medical procedures, such as dressing changes, wound care, and suture removals.· Manages and maintains medical records, including patient charts, test results, and other important medical information.· Assists with patient education and provides information on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventative care measures.· Cross-trained to work patient services associate duties, including check-in, check-out, appt. scheduling, phones, referrals, etc.· At the discretion of the provider, will assist with procedures.· Answers, triages and responds timely to calls and messages.· Communicates effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals.· Works effectively as a team member and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.· Demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude to support the company culture.· Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.· Other Duties to support your team and ensure a positive patient experience.*Qualifications and Education Requirements*· High school diploma or general equivalency (GED),· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals at all levels.· Computer competence and knowledge of EMR Systems.· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.· Empathetic and patient-focused approach to customer service.*Preferred Skills*· Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.· Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.· Experience in a clinical setting or medical office· Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.· Skill in handling phone calls and triaging appropriately.*Physical Demands*· This job may require sitting or standing for extended periods and occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.· Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.· Potential exposure to infectious disease.*Additional Notes*The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all duties or responsibilities required of the employee.
