Role Overview

Accounting Manager

reports directly to the Neptune Controller and has responsibilities across North America. It’s a tremendous opportunity to work with an experienced leadership team and market leader supporting growth in both product and software markets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, manage employee travel and expense program, review accounts payable and approve AP disbursements, review and analyze accounts receivable, maintain and file monthly sales and use tax, and other assigned duties.Create, review, and post journal entries, prepare and review assigned account reconciliations, maintain the deferred revenue recognition management system.Manage the timely completion of the month-end close and support annual audit process.Assist the controller as a champion process improvement by identifying opportunities for optimization and automation, utilizing the latest technology solutions.Assist the controller in developing, researching, communicating, and implementing new or updated procedures as dictated by business needsCollaborate with the corporate and factory finance teams on cross-functional projects.Schedule

This is a hybrid role in Duluth, GA with occasional overnight travel to the factory in Tallassee, AL.

Qualifications and

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.Knowledge of concepts, processes, and tools of the accounting profession.4-6 years’ experience in progressive accounting roles.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail, organized, and analytical.Requires a high level of initiative and independence.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.Process improvement mindset.
