What is a Behavior Technician?
A job as a Behavior Technician is an entry-level position that involves working with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a developmental disability that can cause language, social, and behavioral challenges. Behavior Techs (BTs) receive training to use a science-based therapy called Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help people with autism build skills in communication, socialization, self-help, and play.
As a Behavior Technician with KGH Autism Services, you will also travel to clients' homes (mileage reimbursed) where you will be in the environment they are most comfortable. Here, you will work 1-1 with young children on the autism spectrum to support their skill development.

Responsibilities
How will you help children with Autism?
As an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician at KGH Autism Services, you will provide 1:1 ABA therapy in various settings such as in the home, school, center, or community. Using research-based methods you will:Teach
individuals with autism to talk, play, make friends, and function independently, while helping reduce any inappropriate behaviors and improve mental health.Collect
data to demonstrate each client's progress toward reaching his or her goals!Analyze
data by using our proprietary electronic data collection software for real time decision-making.Collaborate
with BCBAs, the client's family, and other technicians at clinical team meetings to report client progress and get specific feedback from the supervisor.Required Skills
ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician Qualifications
You must be at least 18 years of ageYou must be authorized to work in the United StatesYou must meet the physical requirements of the position, to include lifting of clients, packages, or equipment up to 50lbs, accessing non-barrier free premises, and using physical management techniques when requiredPreferred:
Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education or related fieldCertificate in First Aid and CPR TrainingAutism Spectrum Disorders experience
