UI/UX Designer

Salary Range: $69,230 - $91,000
DPSS (Digital Precision Strike Suite) seeks Graphic/Video Designer with UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) experience to embed in multiple projects across the organization to achieve UI/UX cohesion as well as advise on software front-end design decisions.
Essential Job Functions:
Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex UI/UX problems in coordination with the software development team.
Interface with local human factors groups to analyze and optimize user workflows via UI/UX for fielded targeting tools.
Coordinate with multiple development teams on UI/UX consistency.
Develop/Update UI/UX guides for software development.
Create various UI elements inherent in software development (logos, icons, etc.)
Create various video content including demonstrations and tutorials.
Coordinate with human factors teams to improve software intuitiveness.
Attend UI/UX oriented meetings, including representing DPSS and its various product lines in meetings with external collaborative development teams.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree with 5 plus years of relevant experience.
Create engaging video content, including tutorials and demonstrations that effectively communicate the functionality and operational use cases of the software.
Must possess strong organizational, oral communication, writing, and planning skills to manage the timelines and needs of changing customer requirements.
Ability to pick up new tools as the job demands, the tools currently in use by DPSS for UI/UX design include but are not limited to:
Axure.
Gimp.
Paint 3D.
Photoshop.
Camtasia.
Snipping Tool.
Microsoft Office.
Desired Skills:
Be open learning frontend programming/GUI (Graphical User Interface) programming.
Be open to learning Frontend Programming, including building Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) controls utilizing XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language) as well as an introduction to C#.
