Job DetailsWe are seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise in project management, underground utilities, roadway, bridges/structures, WWTP, and site work to a company that values innovation, quality, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field and a passion for driving projects to successful completion.
Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Civil Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to closure while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our client’s satisfaction.
- Managing and supervising construction projects including roadway, underground utilities, and site work. WWTP experience a PLUS!
- Coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives and goals are met.
- Preparing and presenting project proposals, reports, and findings to the senior management team.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintaining safety on the site.
- Developing and implementing project strategies and schedules, and ensuring resources are available and allocated.
- Identifying and managing project risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing projects related to roadway, underground utilities, structures and site work.
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve project goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- A professional Project Management certification would be an asset.
