Job Details

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician with a background with HVAC controls and building automation projects to join our team in Albuquerque.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for HVAC controls, building automation systems (BAS), and energy management systems (EMS).
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and HVAC technicians to ensure seamless integration of electrical components within BAS.
  • Perform electrical installations, including wiring, conduit bending, and panel assembly for HVAC controls and automation devices.
  • Test, inspect, and commission electrical systems for building automation projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.
  • Collaborate in diagnosing system issues, performing necessary repairs, and providing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and control diagrams for HVAC/BAS-related projects.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all electrical safety codes, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Active Journeyman Electrician license in the state of New Mexico.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical work, with a focus on HVAC controls, BAS, or related systems.
  • Strong understanding of control wiring, motor control centers, and low-voltage systems for building automation.
  • Ability to read electrical plans, perform installations, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems, including installation and programming (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Siemens, or Johnson Controls).
