We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician with a Class D license to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a specific focus on fire alarm systems. This role will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards. The Lead Fire Alarm Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our construction projects. Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, service, and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Lead and train a team of fire alarm technicians, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Supervise and coordinate with all other construction team members to ensure all fire alarm installation requirements are accurately completed.
  • Conduct regular testing and inspection procedures to ensure fire alarm systems are functioning optimally.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or malfunctions, carrying out necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of installation and repair projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair work.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Class D license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Fire Alarm Technician in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with EST-3, EST-4, Fireworks, and NICET (preferred but not needed)
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm circuitry, associated programming, and the ability to troubleshoot system problems.
  • Knowledge of local and national fire code requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including lifting heavy equipment and working in high or tight spaces.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be willing to travel to various job sites.
