Job Details

Responsible for supervising the day-to-day movement, storage, and distribution of products for consumers through subordinate staff. Supervises staff for the assigned work unit to ensure the proper flow of product from raw receiving through to finished goods distribution.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Compliance to SOP’s, GMPs, Housekeeping, Safety, and all other policies.
  • Trains and develops hourly employees, facilitates all areas of people, manages such things as corrective action, attendance, time off, and other plant policies.
  • Develops hourly employees to take ownership of key measures such as yields, labor, people safety and quality.
  • Develops and refines production SOPs in order to develop training capability as well as implementing best practices.
  • Evaluates and interprets daily logistics reports to observe trends in performance.
  • Leads and supports process improvement activities with both formal and informal teams.
  • Interfaces with various levels of Production management as needed to ensure maximum performance against KPI’s.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory expectations such as OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc.
  • Implements logistics, manufacturing, or operational programs that achieve cost and quality requirements of the Company.
  • Keeps with established standards such as quality of product, safety of operations, yield, line efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensures efficient communication with all levels of organization to ensure order-fill process.
  • Maintains and improves labor utilization and yield goals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and teach complex assignments and controls. Ability to convert assignments into work actions by subordinates.
  • Motivate, lead, gather, and understand information provided by all levels of workers.
  • Able to understand Safety Policies and Regulations.
  • Strong understanding of food sanitation, food safety, worker safety and cost development.
  • Ability to take direction from superiors and perform tasks without constant direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to make improvements to processes and develop them into more efficient and valuable parts of the overall operation.
  • Strong technical understanding of OSHA, mechanical equipment, and the ability to understand mechanical processes and equipment constraints.
  • Ability to interact effectively with Government regulatory agencies.
