Job Description:
Position Summary:
A performance-driven Individual who understands financial information, transactional accounting, and internal controls. You are relationship-oriented and will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations for the GFS business unit. The position is in Tampa and interacting with our outsourcing provider, which is located in India (working US hours). You will ensure that financial activities are aligned with Company goals and objectives, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, in compliance with government regulations and Pitney Bowes Corporate Accounting policies and meet established service level agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities:Functionally responsible for delivering general accounting and reporting services across the enterprise for the GFS business unit.Lead the monthly and quarterly close and reporting process; ensure timely, relevant communication and set the standard for excellence and high quality deliverablesLeader of a team that will be responsible for:
Preparing journal entries in compliance with Company standards and policies as well as drive improvements in our documentation and processesConducting detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and performing flux analysisGenerating ad-hoc financial reports, perform general ledger account analysis and technical accounting research as requestedSupporting fixed asset and lease accountingRevenue accounting and reconciling and posting related entriesRecord project-related transactionsAssisting with continuous improvement and automation initiatives in support of corporate strategiesWorking closely with our outsourcing provider to review and approve entries, reconciliations, and other month-end close related activities
Lead cross functional special projectsDrive the close cycle automation initiatives intended to condense the close cycle, reduce manual work and improve controllershipDocument current state processes, where they don't exist, and be comfortable training others in service deliveryMaintain effective internal controls for the financial close and consolidation processes, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and mitigating financial riskActively support internal and external audits including preparation of audit support and responding to auditor inquiriesBackground:
Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred, not required9+ years of accounting or equivalentKnowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley regulationsBanking and/or lease accounting experience preferredExperience managing US-based staffExperience within an outsourced or shared services R2R function preferredUnderstanding of the financial close process, including intercompany accountingKnowledge of internal controls and how to effectively implement themKnowledge of financial systems; SAP and Hyperion preferredAdvanced Excel Knowledge RequiredMust be able to effectively communicate and present complex business and financial analysis and concepts to management

Compensation:
The wage range for this position is $97,000 to $122,000 per year, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual incentive bonus.

This is an onsite position in Tampa, FL.
