Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years within specialty License: Required BLS Certifications: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification Must-Have: Availability to work during holiday season Job Description: - Provide compassionate and professional nursing care to patients in the oncology unit. - Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments safely and effectively. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. - Monitor patients for side effects and complications, ensuring prompt intervention. - Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and ongoing care. - Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions. - Adapt to varied patient care environments and demonstrate flexibility in care delivery. - Adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. - Willingness to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
