TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Burlington, North Carolina, 27215 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required. No first-time travelers. License: License in hand required with submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required Must-Have: - Neuro & Surgical ICU experience preferred - EPIC experience preferred Job Description: - Work 3x12-hour day shifts with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. - Every other weekend and holidays as needed. - Floating required: All travelers may be required to float between different campuses if needed. - Must have experience in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and pre/post-cardiac catheterization intervention. - Knowledge and experience with: - IV insulin protocols - CVVHD CRRT - Management of arterial lines, blood products, central lines, and PICC lines - Continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips - Acute stroke management, external ventricular drains, and care of ventilated patients - High flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT) - Administration of neuromuscular blocking agents and bedside percutaneous tracheostomy - Ability to manage patients with respiratory failure, STEMI/post-cath, post-cardiac arrest, renal failure, sepsis, overdose, and Arctic Sun treatment. - High volume patient groups include those with sepsis, respiratory and renal failures, shock, cardiac events, and procedural recovery. - Competence in cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and physiological support through pharmacological intervention. - Perform CRRT; hemodialysis is handled externally by certified staff. - Support elective procedures such as craniotomies, lumbar drains, and the management of neurological devices. - The role requires completing non-billable orientation and modules during the orientation period. 26142953EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Change environments regularly to prevent burnout, maintaining enthusiasm and passion for your nursing career.
