CPM is seeking a self-driven, educated and experienced, savvy accountant to join our accounting and finance team. CPM is a growing company offering the career challenges and opportunities of a large company, while maintaining the culture and atmosphere of a small business. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and provide accurate and timely closing of the books and records
Prepare review general ledger reconciliations performed by the team
Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Assist the Team with business unit financial reporting including budgeting and forecasting
Provide operational financial analysis to department managers
Assist in the audit process
Manage and ensure appropriate assistance is provided to Company’s external auditors.
Streamline the accounting processes and procedures to increase productivity and accuracy.
Maintain proper documentation of all journal entries
Develop and enforce the policies and procedures to mitigate financial risk and enhance the control environment.
Identify areas of reporting risk and improvement and implement
Stay current with Company initiatives in order to ensure compliance with appropriate accounting treatment
Represent the Financial Teams on new initiatives
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) , preferred but not required
Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP
3-5 Years of related experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting and internal controls
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
ERP system experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Any travel will be as needed
