GENERAL FUNCTION
The Senior Manager of Risk and Insurance at EssilorLuxottica oversees the insurance operations for the company's entities in the US and Canada. Key responsibilities include reviewing contracts, managing the certificate of insurance program, and providing consultations on mergers and acquisitions. The manager facilitates annual insurance renewals and collaborates with various departments to implement best practices in risk management. Additionally, they work with brokers to benchmark insurance offerings and partner with the global risk management department on coverage needs. This role is essential for developing effective risk management strategies that protect the company's interests and support its operational goals.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Annual Renewals: Collaborate with the Director, VP of Risk, global risk team, and brokers to prepare timely renewal submissions, gathering of data, ensure accuracy and adherence to timelines. Insurance Policy Reviews: Review all insurance binders and policies for accuracy and potential coverage, coordinating with the risk management team, broker, and legal counsel as needed. Contract Reviews: Lead the contract review process, working with Legal, Operations, and M&A to ensure appropriate insurance language and risk explanations. Certificates of Insurance: Oversee the distribution and tracking of certificates of insurance, coordinating with brokers to ensure timely receipt and accurate distribution. Exposure Tracking: Manage the tracking of exposure data for renewals and carrier submissions, including payroll, revenue, property values, etc. as needed, ensuring accuracy and timely updates for comparisons. M&A Contract Reviews: Collaborate with legal and internal departments to review contracts and provide recommendations for insurance language in M&A scenarios. Global Program Support: Provide information on US and Canada insurance programs, exposures, and coverage needs to the global risk management group as requested. Surety Bonds: Facilitate the distribution and tracking of surety bond requests and renewals, leading the Insurance Analyst in this process. Property and Cyber Claims: Assist with large and complex claims, providing support alongside the Claims Manager as required. Other tasks and responsibilities as requested. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in claims. Property and Casualty (P&C) license. 5-10 years of leadership experience in property and casualty insurance with a company, broker, or carrier. Strong knowledge of property, casualty, executive protection, cyber, errors and omissions, and global insurance coverage. Experience as an underwriter or in evaluating insurance language and coverage. Proven leadership skills with a track record of improvements or mentoring experience. Familiarity with retail operations. Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, supporting collaboration across the organization. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management tools. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Risk Management Degree Underwriter and/or broker experience a plus.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
