In this key leadership role, you will oversee the tax department, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all tax filings while managing a portfolio of clients. The Tax Manager will provide strategic tax planning, guidance on complex tax issues, and mentor junior staff. This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional looking to take the next step in their career by leading a team and driving business results.Why join us?Key Responsibilities:Manage and review the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.Oversee and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, conducting tax research and analysis when necessary.Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize client liabilities while identifying potential opportunities for savings.Lead and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance, training, and support on tax compliance and planning matters.Collaborate with clients to offer tailored tax advice and strategic planning to meet their business or personal financial objectives.Support audit processes by liaising with tax authorities and preparing responses to inquiries.Continuously stay updated on changes in tax legislation to offer accurate and timely advice to clients.Contribute to the development of internal tax processes, improving efficiency and ensuring accuracy.Assist in business development activities by nurturing client relationships and identifying new service opportunities.Job DetailsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA certification required.5-7+ years of experience in tax accounting, with extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Experience managing and mentoring tax staff.Proficiency in account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.Strong skills in tax research and financial software tools, with advanced Excel proficiency.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients and staff.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability.Interested in hearing more?
