This is an excellent career opportunity with a national plaintiff firm that advises institutional investors, pension funds, banks, and asset managers on sophisticated corporate governance, securities class actions, securities fraud, and shareholder rights claims. The incoming paralegal will report to a Senior Case Manager and join a busy team that focuses on case development and client advisory services for potential and ongoing securities claims. Interested candidates must have previous cite-checking, Blue Book, and federal court filing experience for consideration. You will handle a myriad of engaging responsibilities including:
Conduct legal research and analysis on securities laws and regulations using PACER, WestLaw, LexisNexis, and other research platforms
Proofread and cite-check/fact-check briefs, complaints, and other documents
Bluebooking
Manage and organize case files and exhibits
Prepare and file documents in federal district courts
Manage Outlook calendar deadlines
Assist with organizing relevant materials for case analysis, including SEC filings, conference transcripts, and analysis reports
Provide administrative assistance on other tasks including support on RFPs
Track and review lead plaintiff motions, cases of interest, and other notable news impacting the firm, clients, and casesThis role requires excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills and a keen eye for detail for proofreading, fact-checking, and word processing. We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoy a complex litigation and trial environment and direct collaboration with attorneys/clients to push cases forward.
