Many More!Job DetailsJob Title: Firm AdministratorReports to: Managing Partner(s)Job Overview:The Firm Administrator is responsible for managing the business operations of the firm, overseeing administrative tasks, human resources, financial management, office logistics, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This role is critical for supporting the attorneys and staff in delivering exceptional legal services within the labor and employment law practice area. Supervise the daily operations of the firm, including facilities management, technology needs, and vendor relationships. Ensure the office environment is professional, functional, and conducive to productivity. Oversee administrative support staff and assign tasks accordingly. Handle recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees, including paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff. Manage employee benefits, payroll, and performance evaluations. Address personnel issues and foster a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with labor and employment laws applicable to the firm itself. Monitor firm performance metrics and provide regular financial updates to the partners. Coordinate with attorneys on case management systems, document management, and workflows to enhance efficiency. Oversee compliance with court rules, filing procedures, and deadlines. Ensure the firm complies with labor and employment regulations affecting both clients and internal staff. Manage relationships with IT service providers, ensuring the firm’s technology infrastructure supports its needs. Oversee the acquisition and maintenance of office equipment and software, including legal research tools, billing software, and client relationship management (CRM) systems. Assist with client intake, conflict checks, and the preparation of engagement letters. Implement strategies to enhance client services and satisfaction. Develop, implement, and enforce office policies and procedures. Ensure the firm adheres to relevant legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality and data protection. Collaborate with the partners to develop long-term business plans and goals. Implement strategies for firm growth, including marketing, client development, and operational improvements. Manage firm insurance policies (professional liability, property, etc.). Ensure compliance with employment laws, including workplace safety regulations and employee documentation.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.Experience: 3+ years of office management experience, preferably in a legal environment. Familiarity with labor and employment law or a similar practice area is beneficial.Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and accounting principles. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Technologically savvy with experience in legal software and office management systems. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a law firm, specifically in labor and employment law.
