If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Permanent Transportation Manager for our 2nd shift. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing all transportation-related operations during the evening hours, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of goods and services. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.Responsibilities: Oversee all 2nd shift transportation operations, including planning, organizing, and managing the dispatch of commercial drivers. Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and driver operations. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Manage and coordinate driver schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timely delivery of services. Conduct regular driver assessments to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with performance standards. Prepare and present detailed reports on transportation operations, including performance metrics, operational issues, and proposed solutions. Collaborate with other department managers to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping. Resolve any transportation and logistics issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and services. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to transportation team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, including commercial driver dispatch, driver management, reporting, driver assessment, and driver coordination. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics principles, including local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues. Proficiency in using logistics and transportation management systems and software. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, drivers, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
