Staff Accountant to join our vibrant team. This position plays a pivotal role in our team, providing in-depth financial insights that drive the productivity and public accounting support for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Payroll and Income Tax Preparation, Financial Statements Preparation, and other related financial bookkeeping transactions. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the public accounting industry. Responsibilities:1. Prepare, verify, and process invoices and coding payment documents.2. Perform Payroll Tax Preparation duties, ensuring compliance with current financial regulations.3. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.4. Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and reports to ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.5. Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.6. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.7. Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.8. Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.9. Collaborate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.10. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.11. Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.12. Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2. 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the public accounting industry.3. Proficiency in Payroll Tax Preparation and Financial Statements Preparation.4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.6. Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar.7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.9. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organize work, and meet deadlines.10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.12. CPA certification or eligibility is a plus!
