POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Business Intelligence Developer position will focus on reporting tools in Epic (our electronic health record application), backend development with SQL, SSIS, and other database application development tools in a .Net environment. This is an excellent senior level opportunity that will also be heavily focused and trained on Epic. As a Senior BI Developer, you would be responsible for the design, development, support, and execution of reports, dashboards, and solutions that support Ardent Health’s market and corporate customers. This role is also responsible for understanding the core technical components of Ardents applications, databases, and developing solutions to drive increased productivity, engagement, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Participate in Ardents future state Cogito development with an emphasis on extending the Caboodle data warehouse and associated SlicerDicer reporting tool. Design, develop, and maintain extracts from Epic’s Clarity & Caboodle databases utilizing SSIS and our sFTP program GoAnywhere. Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation. Responsible for gathering requirements, creation, operational stability, tuning, and management of reports and dashboards utilizing Epic reporting tools and PowerBI. Participate in agile meetings (e.g. daily scrums, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and sprint planning). Mentor other developers as required and act as an SME where required. Provide corporate and market resources with support and enhancements for Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and PowerBI reporting tools. Respond to support tickets in line with established turnaround times. Investigate and complete build for Epic upgrades On-call support rotation for critical applications and reports. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer/Data Science or equivalent Epic certified in the Access, Revenue, or Clinical tracks 7 years of designing and developing ETL and/or reporting from SQL Server Proven track record of developing well-architected solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, support) Source control experience 10 years of designing and developing ETL and reporting from SQL Server, preferred 5 years designing data models, preferred 3 years building reports and/or dashboards with PowerBI, preferred 2 years of experience with AI and/or machine learning, preferred Certification(s) in Caboodle development, preferred Experience with Git source control, preferred Experience working within the healthcare industry, preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Team player with a can-do approach to solving complex technical problems Support multiple Epic applications teams by keeping them abreast of new functionality and learning their new build Ability to consult with business leaders directly through development of positive working relationships High degree of critical thinking along with the ability to be an innovative problem solver who works independently in a fast-paced environment We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
