Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med/Surg 6 unit at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN.

The Med/Surg RN will provide care to medical surgical adult patients with medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. Are you ready for every day to be different and exciting with a wide range of patient population experiences?

Schedule:

This position will be working

0.7 FTE

( 56

hours

every two weeks). The shift length will be

8

hours

on the day/evening Shift with an every other weekend rotation (F,S,S).

Responsibilities Job Description

The RN is responsible and accountable for patient assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention application, and the identification and evaluation of outcomes for patients of all ages and populations. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act:

Conducting ongoing assessments as determined by patient's condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and prioritizes care accordingly.Establishing and implementing nursing care plans for assigned patient populations through assessment, development, activation, evaluation, and discharge.Prioritizing, delegating, and maintaining oversight of duties and responsibilities of other staff members as a team leader.Maintaining confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and facility.Demonstrating the ability to deliver care or service by adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.Collaborating with patients, families, and health care team membersQualifications

Required Qualifications:

Associate Degree in NursingValid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationValid RN License from MN Board of NursingNew grads with inpatient clinical experience are encouraged to apply!Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higherPreferred experience working as an RN
