Job DescriptionInova is seeking a full-time Cardiology RN Outpatient for our Mount Vernon location. Inova Cardiology Services comprises an elite team of board-certified cardiologists providing the highest level of comprehensive care to help you achieve heart and vascular wellness. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. NO weekends, NO Holidays. Work location: 8101 Hinson Farm Rd#408Alexandria, VA 22306Job Responsibilities for the Cardiology Nurse include: •Patient education Answering patient questions pre- and post-surgery •Coordinating patient readiness and care throughout the clinic •Stress Testing (Regular, Echo and Nuclear) •Helping patients manage INR •Oversee clinical workflow and work collaboratively with team This is a fast-paced service line and part of a growing practice. Inova Cardiology is a team of board-certified Physicians and Surgeons, Nurse Practitioners, RNs and LPNs and MAs dedicated to bringing compassionate, comprehensive clinical care to our patients.The Registered Nurse Outpatient provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor. Requirements:Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. Greater than one year of RN experience in addition to prior Cardiology Nursing background such as in IMCU, PCU, Tele, CVICU is preferred.Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
