The Boelter Companies is seeking an Equipment Driver/Material Handler for local deliveries in the Wisconsin/Chicago area, CDL not required!

JOB SUMMARY The Equipment Driver/Material Handler position delivers equipment and supplies to restaurants, country clubs, hospitals, hotels, nursing homes and an assortment of similar facilities. This position is responsible for the safe operation of a 26 ft. company owned truck w/ liftgate and the safe and courteous delivery and install of the product. Customer contact is heavily involved, and the associate must have excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to use a two-wheeled hand cart, lift up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis, and use material handling equipment for delivery of large/or heavy equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform pre and post trip inspection of truck. Load trucks with electric or pump pallet jack. Deliver product to customers in a professional and courteous way. Deliver product, uncrating, and setting in place of food service equipment. Deliver product wherever customer needs (upstairs, downstairs, on shelves etc.) with 2-wheel hand cart. Pick up returns and do vendor pick-ups. Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Provide installation support to Boelter warehouse (equipment) Performs all other duties as assigned. Reports to work on time and works overtime as required and if required to travel for business maintains a valid driver's license
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS •High school diploma or equivalent •Minimum 6 months related driver experience- comfortable driving in Chicagoland area •Class B license •Must be able to pass a DOT physical •Ability to read, write, and speak English •Excellent communication and customer service skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
Required to sit, stand, and drive up to 10 hours per day Occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; scoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear. Must be able to use foot/feet to operate machines and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and/or controls Must be able to load/unload truck using electric or pump pallet jack and 2-wheel hand cart and lift up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis At Boelter, we care about our associates.
