WJM Professionals is recruiting for an individual to administer delineated medical services to all beneficiaries receiving care at a Coast Guard clinic.QUALIFICATIONS:The individual shall perform a full range of professional nursing services and practices on-site, to a variety of patients.Assesses patient's needs for nursing care, plans for nursing interventions, assess the effectiveness of the interventions and alters the nursing plan and interventions appropriately.Documents all nursing care provided to include assessments and evaluations in accordance with applicable regulations and standards of practice.Provides patient education and ongoing monitoring in coordination with the Primary Care Manager.Provides disease management assistance as directed by the Primary Care Manager.Communicates and coordinates with the HSWL-SC Operational Medicine Nurse Consultant regarding all complex cases in accordance with Coast Guard policies and directives.Provides care coordination care between a variety of partners involved in beneficiary care.Provide nursing triage to acute issues in addition to regularly scheduled appointments, with immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur.Administers oxygen, IV fluids, and prescribed oral, subcutaneous, and intra-muscular medication in accordance with provider orders and regulations.Prepares patients for surgical and or diagnostic procedures.Prepares, operates, and monitors specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, etc.Inventories medicine and drug stocks to ensure adequate supplies and controls as needed.Participates in attending and providing (ad hoc) training at the clinic for staff.Participates in the Health Services Quality Improvement Program, as directed by the Clinic Administrator.Provide coordination of care in accordance with standards of practice established at the clinic for referral management.REQUIREMENTSThe Nurse shall meet or exceed the industry standards in accordance with established principles, practices, and ethics of the Registered Nursing Profession. A diploma or degree from a National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) accredited school of Nursing;A current unrestricted active license to practice as a Registered Nurse from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands;Maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the field in the past 3 years; with at least one year of ambulatory care experience in family practice or internal medicine in the past 5 years."No adverse information on file" with the National Practitioners Data Band (NPDB).REQUIRED CREDENTIALSA current resume including AT LEAST the following information:Diploma/Degrees earned.Professional Experience.Social Security Number.Date of birth (to be used only for independent query of the NPDB);Career history (with explanations for any gaps in employment);Professional Training/Courses (CNE or CME) attended in the past two years.Professional organization affiliations and memberships.Previous work references including the name of the organization, number of years rendered, address, and name of the point of contract with the telephone number.Awards and certifications received.Copies of:A diploma or degree from an accredited school of Nursing (a digital picture is acceptable as a copy);Copies of all additional post-high school diplomas and/or degrees.A current unrestricted active license to practice as a Registered Nurse from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands;Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis "A" and "B" and evidence of freedom from chronic communicable disease(s) i.e., HIV, TB and Sexual transmitted diseases (within 30 days of start of work);Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP);Proof of insurability against malpractice in the amount of one million ($1,000,000.00) dollars per occurrence;Social Security Card;At least three (3) letters of recommendation from recent employers addressing nursing services.
