Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Transport Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00, Days Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Registered Nurse in Neonatal, Pediatric, or Labor & Delivery areas; ideally 2 years License: Licensed as an RN to practice in the state of Texas Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Must-Have: - PALS- BLS Job Description: - No on-call hours required- Opportunity to join a team-oriented environment- Work within a pediatric/PICU unit with a total of 19 beds (10 PICU, 9 Pediatrics)- Engage with a team usually comprising 6 nurses per shift- Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1-2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT)- Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1-2 PCTs- Patient ratios: PICU 1:2; Intermediate Care 1:3, or 1:4 with PCT; Pediatrics 1:5, or 1:6 with PCT- Utilization of Hill-Rom beds, cribs, and EMR MediTech- Conduct bedside procedures such as chest tube insertions, intubations, and central venous line placements- Encouraged to have a team player mindset- Dress Code: Scrub color is galaxy blueIdeal candidates will have critical care transport experience and the following additional certifications: - Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)- Pediatric Neonatal Critical Care Transport (PNCCT)- Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN)- Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN)The facility offers permanent positions and is equipped with the latest technology, providing opportunities for professional development in a supportive and experienced team environment.
