Summary
The EDI HB Analyst is responsible for identifying, monitoring and maintaining support for hospital billing related claims issues as it relates to electronic data interchange with the Baptist Hospital System, Clearing House and Payer Website Portals. This will sometime require working with professional claim contacts based on need and how Payer Website Portals handles each facility for assigned tax id and NPI numbers.
Responsibilities
Serves as the EDI Subject Matter Expert
Be familiar with healthcare enrollment processes, insuranceplans, and regulatory requirements
Learns and processes requests through Experian EnrollSource
Response to users request for website access with theassistance of other team members on the Billing Team as needed to completeprocess (administrative access
Responds to inquiries from vendors, payors, and providersregarding EDI issues related to enrollment, claims, payments, and clearinghouseactivities
Meet all deadlines associated with EDI process for payers
Executes EDI transactions as need to complete requiredactivities
Provide support for EDI functions as needed
Troubleshoot payer issues with clearinghouse (Experian) forclaimsh
Work with Revenue Cycle Leaders to determine projectimportance for EDI items
Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and maintain payerinformation for EDI purposes
Demonstrate and maintain prosper proficiency between the hospitalsand payer issues
Able to communicate with payers about ERA/EFT issues as they are presented.
Train employees as need to handle Payer Website Portals
Review ERAs in Clearinghouse to ensure correct EFT information assigned.
Complete assigned goals and projects
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Minimum Experience: 5 years of hospital billing revenue cycle experience. Must have an understanding of Payer WebsitePortal and their reimbursement processes.
Software application knowledge
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree preferred
