POSITION SUMMARYThe Human Resources Business Partner, Benefits and Employee Relations is a critical member of the HR Super Team at Vistage. This role will be focused on benefits, leave administration, compliance, reporting, performance management, and employee relations. We need someone who understands the balance of compliance and policy but pairs it with compassion, innovation, and a world-class delivery. Above all, we need a team player with a “can do” attitude who will go the extra mile to ensure our employees are receiving the best support and customer service possible. This role will report to the Director, Human Resources.RESPONSIBILITIES:BenefitsFocuses on the strategic implementation, design, and evaluation of benefit plans to enhance the employees total rewards package on a global level.Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, hardships and compliance testing.Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.Oversee the processing of monthly invoices and billings, including auditing all benefits invoices for any changes between billing periods.Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the company's stance.Review and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to the field staff.Leave AdministrationHandles the leave administration process from the employees’ initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work for all global employees. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining eligibility, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.ComplianceReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, health & safety trainings, and certifications.Attend regularly scheduled Health & Safety meetings for both US and UK health & safety committees.Provide ergonomic assessments to employees.Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.Employee RelationsDrives the performance management program, including annual reviews for US and UK.Partner with managers to identify and resolve performance issues through Performance Improvement Plans.Act as a trusted partner to employees and management while engaging in coaching discussions, investigations, mediations, and other employee relations concerns.QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of experience in a Corporate HR environment.3+ years of experience administering a full-cycle benefits plan.2+ years of employee relations; including administration of performance improvement plans and investigations.Experience with an HRIS system, ADP Workforce Now preferred.PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR Certification Preferred.Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE$78,000 - $87,000 Salary + Corporate Bonus (salary based in San Diego, CA)JOB LOCATIONHybrid in San Diego; 2 days onsite, 3 days offsite.
