This position shift time is 1:00pm - 9:00 pm or 2:00pm - 10:00 pm.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement strategies to minimize turnover, advance colleague retention, and provide guidance, advice, and best practices on colleague relations matters.Compile and interpret data to develop recommended actions that positively impact colleague relations.Provide consistent presence during traditional operations hours to support both front-line colleagues and front-line leaders.Provide guidance and advice on colleague relations matters, coordinating with stakeholders, and aligning with human resources policies and procedures.Recommend policy improvements or implementation of new policies when appropriate.Maintain knowledge of pertinent labor and employment laws and trends in the HR field.Gather and analyze broad ranges of information expeditiously, identify insights, and make recommendations as appropriate.Provide support for colleagues in labor relations related activities or in positive colleague engagement activities.Develop action plans to drive improvements in retention, colleague survey results, whiteboard meetings or any other program intended to drive engagement and retention.ABILITIES AND SKILLS:Deep HR knowledge base across HR operations, employment law, labor & employment, compensation, benefits, etc.Ability to lead, influence, coach, and develop others to achieve functional and organizational goals.Complex project management, business acumen, and financial skills.Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.Ability to absorb and process large quantities of disparate information and synthesize quickly.Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in technology and understanding of HRIS and business operations.Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.Skilled consultant and facilitator with the ability to work with groups and teams to identify issues and solve problems.Exhibit diplomacy and professionalism while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.Creative thinker and proactive problem solver.REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:7+ years of Human Resources experience in multiple disciplines, such as employee/associate relations, labor relations, HRBP, employment law, etc.; with 7+ years focused on human resources business partners for multi-location, global corporations.REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:BS degree in Human resources or a relevant field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL SKILLS:Project management certification, such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.Strong working knowledge of employment law and government regulations, including EEOC, OSHA, and FLSA.High proficiency/expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with a strong comfort level working in HR systems or learning new systems.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position will be primarily working non-traditional hours to support our operations teams; shifts likely begin around 1-2 PM; flexible hours and shifts will be expected.One position will be based in Fremont, CA, and another will be based in Palmetto, FL with occasional travel.Travel may be required up to 25% to Sysco facilities or operating companies.The work environment characteristics described here represent those a colleague may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer and consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.This opportunity is available through Sysco Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates.OVERVIEW:Sysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
