We’re looking for an outstanding Software Engineering Manager to lead the Always On Platform Systems team, which has a wide range of responsibilities including pre-silicon software development, hardware bringup, silicon and software integration, framework and feature development in the Always On technology area. The team also has oversight responsibilities in architecture, compute and memory resourcing, and cross functional feature deployment across all Apple products.Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential in this role. The ideal candidate must possess a genuine passion for hardware/software integration and software quality. You will collaborate with many cross functional teams to deliver the iconic Apple user experience. You will represent your team and technology in cross functional meetings and partner with many different teams within Apple to plan, resource, execute, drive software quality, and deliver products. Your team should be nimble to handle shifting priorities and new requirements. You have the opportunity to foster a culture that encourages innovation and sets high standards for quality and productivity, and you will be responsible for the development of some of the brightest engineers in the industry!Minimum QualificationsExperience in leading a low-level systems software teamHands-on expertise in embedded software and software/hardware/silicon integrationUnderstanding of operating systems fundamentalsCapacity to drive complex cross-functional projects, handling partnership management while staying hands-on at a technical levelB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsProven track record of successful and timely product delivery with high qualityClarity in decision makingComfort with managing multiple tasks in parallel, in tight schedules, with frequent interruptionsAbility to work in a diverse and fast pace environment, facilitate collaboration across multiple geographical locations, and cultivate an environment of teamwork and innovationStrong sense of ownership and responsibilityAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $286,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
