**Job Description**GENERAL **PURPOSE**Perform various warehouse and inventory related tasks. Receive, process, store, move, and distribute items (products, materials, ingredients, equipment, supplies, etc.) within a warehouse or cooler/refrigerated environment. Unload and load trucks, truck trailers, cases, pallets, stacks, etc. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or electric hand truck. Record received and shipped items. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Work within clearly defined processes and tasks.**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product codeSort and store perishable goods in refrigerated areaMaintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouseFill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other items and distribute to production workersAccurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and for efficient loading onto trucks/trailersCheck all information for accurate shipment of customer orders; check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received; check products for cleanliness and condition prior to loadingUse computer to accurately scan or enter/maintain inventories and recordsComplete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backsAssist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as requiredMonitor materials, product, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities or concerns to supervisorMay sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled unitsMay mark or put identifying labels on product loadsMay operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to anotherKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationFollow all DFA GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
