Client is seeking a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our Engineering team in Springfield, Virginia for the role of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team member. The O&M team activities include supporting the daily execution of activities on a complex satellite ground system, supporting internal and external stakeholder maintenance activities, supporting bi-weekly operational software deliveries and performing on-site E2 triage and support during business hours with after-hours on-call expectations.
What You Will Do
This role includes but is not limited to:
•Provide regular updates to the on-site SETA team via a daily status page and in-person engagements
•Support weekly SETA and team lead technical tag-ups
•Support Change Management Board meetings as needed
•Provide technical SME support as an on-site E2 Systems Integration & Test Engineer
•Work in a classified lab on site
•Work in an Agile program environment
Qualifications You Must Have:
•Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM)
•Experience working on-site in a badgeless environment with multiple stakeholders
•Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
•Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
•Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
•Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
•Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)
•Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
•Test Automation experience (Cucumber, Gherkin, home-grown)
•Experience with Java, C++, or Python
•Experience with Linux operating system
