SCOPE OF WORK: SENIOR CONSULTANT Location: West Coast (remote)

Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt

Supports the West Coast Consulting Team

We seek senior consultants with expertise in the broadband, smart city and/or local government sectors. Our ideal candidates have strong subject matter knowledge and think creatively to solve large-scale technology problems for communities across the US. We look for self-driven leaders that can work effectively in unstructured work environments and lead project teams to support clients' needs. Our consultants truly believe in and practice a client first mentality to ensure their projects are successful.

Responsible for managing assigned projects and for fulfilling projects according to proposals developed by Magellan for clients. Responsible for allocating other internal Magellan staff as needed, provide support and fulfillment on these projects, and independent contractors will work on projects assigned to other Magellan staff as requested by staff by performing the following duties.

DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Lead Broadband/Fiber Network client engagements, while executing high-level assessment methodologies and action plans.

Act as a subject matter expert on client engagements where another consultant leads the project, adding value and substance to client reports and deliverables.

Plans and attends meetings and conference calls with internal staff and clients.

Ensures that meeting minutes are taken for all relevant conference calls and meetings.

Ensures that site visit summaries are created for all relevant site visits.

Manages timelines, issues, and deliverables related to assigned projects.

Manages the work product and ensuring that it conforms to project scope.

Schedules and participates in site visits and travels when required.

Utilizes Magellan's project management tools to manage projects and to provide accurate management reporting.

Requests internal staff support on projects.

Alerts management if project slippage or other issues occur.

Maintains fulfillment work on broadband, telecom, smart city and related projects.

Researches and analyzes information to produce reports and other work products for projects, in the following areas: technical, financial, regulatory, market, general business, needs assessments, and others to be determined by staff.

Authors work product and coordinates with internal staff on co-authorship.

Proofs draft reports and final work product for clients.

Delivers final reports to clients and presenting results.

Identifies additional business opportunities through projects assigned.

Utilizes current contacts and professional networks to identify new business opportunities.
