Quality Technician Compensation/Benefits: Salary: $55,000 - $58,000 depending on experience 2nd shift: 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday - Friday Direct Hire opportunity They offer a full benefits package and a great work life balance!
Quality Technician Job Summary:
The primary job responsibility of the Quality Layout Inspector is to executing Layout inspection on product made at the company. This is accomplished by utilizing laboratory equipment, measurement devices, and documentation to determine requirements for inspection. Layout inspector will also assist production personnel in measurements of production parts.
Quality Technician Job Duties:
Perform first article measurements and inspections. Train and guide manufacturing personnel measuring product quality parameters. Perform outgoing product inspections. Perform necessary incoming material inspections. Assist in creation of work instructions. Maintain quality lab supplies.
Quality Technician Qualifications:
-Education and certifications
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Technical/Associates degree or Bachelors degree in related field. Optional: ASQ certified Quality Technician. -Work experience
Required: 2+ years manufacturing work experience or 1+ years with Technical/Associates degree or Bachelors degree Preferred: 2+ years product inspection or production supervision experience.
Quality Technician Job skills
Translate print requirements into inspection plan for First Article submissions. Read and understand engineering prints to a functional level. Understand and utilize current GD&T terminology and calculations. Understand usage of measurement devices such as Micrometers Indicators, Calipers, Depth Micrometers, Height gages, Radius Gages, Pin Gages, Plug Gages, etc.. Write, illustrate, and edit documents to professional standards Strong PC skills to facilitate document creation, spreadsheet creation, and database management Eye for detail with good mechanical aptitude Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
