As a Strategic Category Analyst at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for driving the analytics, data and information gathering vital to achieve the strategic objectives. You will work with your team members and collaborators across Micron's global sites, working collaboratively to ensure Micron meets current profitability objectives and achieves future cost-down aspirations. You will collaborate with various sourcing and engineering teams, site leaders and other collaborators. You will help the team supervise key internal metrics, evaluate category market conditions/trends, supply/demand challenges and other pertinent category dynamics.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives across category teams and collaborators with the category analysts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing actionable insights that enable the category team to achieve business objectives.

Analytics, insights and benchmarkingAnalyzes sophisticated business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.Develop and implement cost objectives and plans to achieve overall project cost targets.Monitor cost performance across key dimensions, including the overall project and critical areasProvide oversite to team members to ensure data integrity and accessibilityIdentify and analyze any cost irregularities, patterns and trends to locate influencesLead external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking and solution development.Evaluate data and information to find opportunities and cost savings, and deliver recommendations to support the strategic directionCollect and use financial data for suppliers, and provide guidance for interpretationCreates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.Business Partnering

Drive positive relationships and communicate optimally with collaborators to achieve business objectivesEnsure all key team members have a clear understanding of cost tracking and control mechanisms.Hold workstreams accountable for meeting targets and emphasize the importance of goals and deadlines.Actively engage with procurement leadership and cross-functional business clients, working together to design and implement plans into tangible resultsHow To Qualify:

3-5 years of professional data management and analysis experienceBachelor's degree or master in Business, Engineering, or ScienceStrong proficiency with data and information management, and reporting tools: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, SharePoint, etc.Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Financial and/or other analytics software, SQL and VBA proficiency preferredProcurement, Category Management, Supply Chain background preferredValidated experience working optimally in a matrixed, global organizationHighly skilled in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and high comfort in working with numbers.Demonstrate strong communication in a structured, clear and influential way, with Stakeholders and Senior Leaders/ExecutivesHaving a global perspective and a positive demeanor that is well-suited for working across different regions.Having the skills for business sense, and data fluency, using insights to make a data-driven decision.Agile in adopting new tools and ways of working towards continuous improvement to better business outcomes.Collaborating with an inclusive approach across geographical and organizational cultures to achieve mutual success for Micron.Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, fast-paced and dynamic environment
