As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), you will build data products and platforms that will help AWS comply with global trade requirements at scale. You'll design and build data solutions which will influence critical AWS product and trade compliance workflows and help leaders make strategic business decisions.Key job responsibilitiesOwn the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisionsBuild scalable solutions/self-serve platforms that will provide data/KPIs to inform business decision makingAcquire various data sources to enable holistic analysis at a global levelBuild various data visualizations to tell the story and let the data speak for itselfRecognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentationProactively developing new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior.About the team* Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions* Build scalable solutions/self-serve platforms that will provide data/KPIs to inform business decision making* Acquire various data sources to enable holistic analysis at a global level* Build various data visualizations to tell the story and let the data speak for itself* Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation* Proactively developing new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior.Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysisAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
