Summary
We are seeking a
Sr. Subcontracts Administrator
to join our team! The individual must be able to work in a fast paced, challenging environment with multiple contract types supporting both Federal and commercial programs. The work location will be at the Redwire facility in Goleta, CA.
They will become a member of the multi-disciplinary team to perform the coordination, negotiation and management of highly complex proposals and subcontracts under minimal supervision. Position requires knowledge of business agreements, Federal and commercial contracting methods, including policies, procedures and regulations in order to provide appropriate guidance and support. Where no process or policy exists, experience in drafting such guidance is highly desired. Prepares/reviews proposals, develops evaluation criteria, negotiates subcontract provisions, down-selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares, awards and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.Ability to work independently, as well as manage cross-functional program teams on all subcontract related issues; multi-tasking is crucial for success. Must be able to assess, prioritize, drive issues to closure and be assertive when required. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties. Exhibit best practice work habits and collaborate with other subcontract team members to promote operational excellence. Deliver quality customer service to both internal and external customers and foster and maintain good supplier relationships.
ResponsibilitiesBuild, Review, and approve compliant file documentationRepresent company as the official interface between program management and subcontractors; may require travel to supplier locationsStrong working knowledge and experience administering government contracts/subcontracts. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS); Export Control Requirements (ITAR/EAR) experience a plusPrepare proposal and other business documents for execution. Examples include Request for Proposal, price analysis, and written narrative documents related to subcontractor's requirements and/or performanceReview and verify accuracy and completeness of proposal packagesCoordinate subcontractor proposals with internal teamReview subcontractor proposals and fact-find and negotiate with suppliers on price, schedule, terms and conditions and any other contractual requirementsPrepare subcontract documents and amendments, including identification and inclusion of cascaded requirements from the prime contract ensuring terms and conditions will be appropriatePrepare reports and contractual correspondence for project managementMonitoring subcontractor's performance, managing deliverables and payment of invoicesCoordinating and providing advice and interpretation of contract/subcontract requirementsIn concert with the Program/Technical team perform price analysis to ensure reasonableness of pricing in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policiesPerform subcontract closeout actions, complete file documentation, and transfer files accordinglyPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and/or requiredLimited travel may be required less than 10%Ideal Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, or a related field, and 5+ years' work experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry; or 10 years related experience in lieu of a degreeExperience supporting a wide range of U.S. Government and/or commercial programsExperience managing diverse subcontractors, both large and small businessesExperience awarding/managing diverse Subcontract TypesCommunicates effectively, both verbally and writtenProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)Excellent Organization and follow through skills, driven to excellenceExperienced working in ERP systems and data entry and analysis. Costpoint experience is highly desiredWillingness and desire for continuous improvementMust be able to organize and prioritize multiple projects of competing authority and varying scopeAbility to find win-win solutions; a "make it happen" attitudeUnderstanding/knowledge of audits and SOX requirements a plus

Pay Range
$105,000 - $120,000/yr.
How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
