The Role
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for making deliveries of cannabis to dispensaries throughout the state. The Delivery Driver is responsible for driving the safest and most efficient routes, adhere to a delivery schedule, maintain control over the vehicles inventory as listed on the manifest, provide exceptional customer service at the dispensaries, and follow all state laws and regulations governing cannabis delivery. Cannabis is a heavily regulated industry; therefore, all employees are required to follow safety laws and compliance regulations.Essential Functions
Execute all deliveries on time and communicate any delays to the Logistics Manager and dispensaryEfficiently load and unload product from the delivery vehiclesVerify items and quantities for deliverySupport order fulfillment or other duties in the event of not being required to deliverWorking knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks (changing tires, check and add fluids, etc.)Develop positive customer relationships with dispensariesCommunicate with order fulfillment and sales department to resolve delivery related issuesExcellent customer service, time management and organization skillsEffective time-management skills and ability to multi-taskSafety & Compliance
Safely transport a wide range of cannabis products to dispensariesFollow all rules of the roadEnsure all vehicles are clean and properly maintainedKeep detailed records on all vehicle maintenance and issuesComplete all necessary paperwork (checklist, rejection sheet)Maintain driver logsMust have a thorough understanding of all state regulations related to delivery/distribution of medical cannabis and ensure full compliance by all department staffReport all non-conformance, delivery rejections, etc. immediatelyEnsure all signatures and other requirements are gathered per policyWorking Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Must be able to work and drive in a variety of elements.Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED preferred; associates degree or certifications preferredAbility to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasksAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environmentHold and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle recordAdditional Requirements
