Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our high-performing team in the Marketing industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and improving our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in finance, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for making a direct impact on the success of a company.

Responsibilities:

As a Controller, you will be responsible for:

  1. Overseeing and managing all general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  2. Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting.
  3. Managing the organization's inventory, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and implementing strategies for inventory control.
  4. Supervising, mentoring, and developing the accounting team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  5. Coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report variances.
  6. Ensuring compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.
  7. Collaborating with the senior management team to form financial strategies and make prudent business decisions.
  8. Identifying and addressing potential risks or discrepancies in financial operations, implementing corrective measures as necessary.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Marketing industry.
  3. Proficient knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  4. Strong experience in general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and financial reporting.
  5. Proven experience in inventory management and control.
  6. Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
  7. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, with an ability to make sound financial decisions.
  8. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present complex financial information in a clear manner.
