Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a client in the manufacturing industry that is looking to hire a Material Handler/Coordinator in their plant in Itasca, IL! Responsibilities:

The Material Coordinator will coordinate the movement, storage, and tracking of raw materials, components, and finished products, ensuring timely availability to support production schedules. Responsibilities include overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring accurate tracking in the inventory management system. The role involves working closely with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to resolve material shortages or discrepancies, as well as preparing and maintaining detailed records to ensure traceability and compliance. The Material Coordinator will also support production planning by providing status updates on material availability, assist in cycle counting and inventory audits, coordinate with suppliers for on-time delivery, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow.

Ideal Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· 3+ years of experience in a Material Coordinator or Parts Room Coordinator role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

· Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.

· Experience coordinating the movement and storage of raw materials, components, and finished products.

· Strong understanding of inventory management practices, including cycle counting and audits.

· Proven ability to maintain accurate records and traceability of materials.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing, production, and logistics, to resolve material-related issues.

· Background in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
