Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our finance team, contributing to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare services. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, tracking financial performance, and making recommendations based on these analyses. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. This role requires a deep understanding of GAAP Accounting, Ledger, and Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  2. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  3. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  4. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  5. Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  6. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  7. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
  8. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  9. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  10. Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
  11. Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical industry.
  3. Proficiency in GAAP accounting and ledger management.
  4. Advanced knowledge of Excel including advanced financial modeling, data manipulation, pivot tables, and formulas.
  5. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  8. Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.
  9. Excellent time management and organizational ability.
  10. Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.
  11. Willingness to adapt to new software and technology.
  12. Professional certification like CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
