Job Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our finance team, contributing to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare services. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, tracking financial performance, and making recommendations based on these analyses. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. This role requires a deep understanding of GAAP Accounting, Ledger, and Advanced Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical industry.
- Proficiency in GAAP accounting and ledger management.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel including advanced financial modeling, data manipulation, pivot tables, and formulas.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.
- Excellent time management and organizational ability.
- Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.
- Willingness to adapt to new software and technology.
- Professional certification like CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
